Assignment 5 - Colourful Asia

Concept : Asia - A Thriving Business Hub

Using a "Asia - A Thriving Business Hub" as a theme for this assignment, this piece of work focus mainly on the business aspect. It aims to portray as an up and coming economic giant. Office buildings are being used to highlight the theme.

In this first and second draftwork, blue background was being used. There are also outlining of the buildings to show that mancy cities in Asia surrounded by coastal areas. The outlining is more prominent in the second draftwork whereas in the first draftwork, only a light shading is shown. Different colourfuls are being applied to the buildings to show the vibrancy of Asia.

Lastly, in the third draftwork, black background is being used with blue outlining. A different colour scheme is being applied to the buildings. It aims to create a cool and professional image of Asia being a business hub.

Feedback :

1. Poor colour combination
2. Too many colours are being used for the buildings
3. Suggestions : USe different shades of black for the buildings to build a professional image for the business theme
4. Place the word "Asia" nearer to "Your Business Hub" as tthere is not much relevance with Asia being a business hub.

Assignment 4 - iN2015

Concept : Evolution of Transportational Tools

There is much to explore for this assignment as there is no specific way / style to do it. The poster aims to motivate people to come up with further possible forms of transportation tools. It begans with humans using their own legs to move themselves around to the stage whereby distance is much shorten with transporation like airplanes. The ultimate would be moving towards "Distance is no longer a barrier". Perhaps, in the near future, humans can travel around simply by doing teleport. We see teleport being used in games but in the future, it could be really possible for us to do that.

YOU DECIDE WHAT"S NEXT !!!

Assignment 3 - U C What I C

In this assignment, we are supposed to take pictures to tell a story. Ms Chiang showed us work done by previous semester students and I should say they are really fantastic. Some are rather interesting and funny. As usual, inspired by my own stupidity, I told a "real life" story.

I have myopia of about 500 plus degress for each of my eyes. I can't live without my specs!
Sometimes when I wake up in the middle the night without wearing my specs and that's when the story begins... My secondary school uniform (St. Margaret's) is a one-piece dress. I would usually place it hanging outside my wardrobe. So... when I wake up without specs, I would imagine it to be a ghost figure. (Shocking myself for nothing)

Yup, that's how the story came about and I know people reading will only have this word in their minds - LAME.

Feedback :

1. Pictures taken were not very clear, poor lighting effects.
2. Storyline was not really straight forward to some audience.
3. The picture of the uniform should not be taken with something green in the background (Green stripes from the cupboard).
4. This classmate asked, "What was he not wearing specs in the first place?" - I really dont know how to answer this question. I mean, there will be times that you don't wear specs ??
